Sambas Statistical Agency will once again carry out the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) in February 2025. The series of SAKERNAS February 2025 activities will begin with a 1-day offline training for the officers on January 22, 2025. Before the offline training, the officers participated in Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on January 13-15, 2025, and online learning meeting via Zoom meetings on January 17, 20, and 21, 2025.

This training will be attended by 11 Field Data Collection Officers (PPL) and 4 Field Supervisors (PML), who will go to the field in February. Both the online and offline training sessions have been opened and closed by the Chief of Statisticians of Sambas Statistical Agency, Mochamad Su'udi, SST., M.E., who always emphasizes maintaining data collection quality while in the field and to stay cautious considering the frequent rainy weather recently.

Data collection for SAKERNAS February 2025 will use the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) mode with the android-based FASIH application. The indicators produced from this data collection include estimated data on the number of employed persons with various job characteristics, the number of unemployed persons with various socio-demographic characteristics, and other labor market indicators based on the 13th ICLS employment concepts, as well as their development, which is representative at the national and provincial levels.

The training of officers is carried out to provide a common understanding of the employment concepts and definitions and to emphasize to the officers the importance of carrying out their duties seriously and responsibly according to the business processes to obtain quality data.
