Training for Village Development Data Updating Officers (PODES) 202

Training for Village Development Data Updating Officers (PODES) 202

May 27, 2025 | BPS Activities

BPS-Statistics of Sambas Regency is once again conducting training for officers of the 2025 Village Potential Survey (PODES). This training is held over two days, with an online session via Zoom Meeting on May 26, 2025, followed by an offline session on May 27, 2025, at Hotel Pantura Jaya Sambas.

The training is attended by 29 participants, consisting of 2 committee members, 1 regional instructor, 6 field supervision officers (PML), and 20 field survey officers (PPL), who will be assigned to 19 districts within Sambas Regency.

The training was opened by the Chief of BPS-Statistics of Sambas Regency, Mochamad Suudi, SST., M.E., who emphasized the importance of coordination with village officials in collecting PODES 2025 data. Data and information on specific potentials possessed by all regions down to the smallest areas are essential for planning, implementing, controlling, and evaluating regional development, both generally and for specific areas.

The data collected from the PODES remains the only thematic data source based on geographic regions that can illustrate the potential of a particular area at the village, district, and regency/city levels throughout Indonesia. PODES data can be used by various stakeholders for multiple benefits, such as identifying urban-rural areas, coastal-non-coastal regions, underdeveloped-developed areas, and more.

This year, the PODES survey will be conducted from June 2, 2025, to June 30, 2025, covering all villages in Sambas Regency.
