Sectoral Statistics Training and the Launch of the Desa Cantik 2025

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, the Sambas Regency Statistics Office (BPS) held a Sectoral Statistics Training and launched the 2025 Desa Cantik Program.

The event was opened by the Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development of the Sambas Regency Secretariat, Mr. Samekto Hadi Suseno, S.E., M.E. Other attendees included the Head of BPS Sambas Regency, the Head of Bappeda Sambas Regency, the Head of the Sambas Regency Communication and Informatics Office, the Head of the Social and Village Community Empowerment Office, several heads of agencies representing data producers, the District Head of Sambas, and the Village Head of Gapura.

The event began with the official designation of Gapura Village as a Desa Cantik for 2025 in Sambas Regency, followed by the presentation of the 2025 Sectoral Statistics Training material.

This year’s Sectoral Statistics Training focused primarily on Institutional Topics, which constitute the fourth domain in sectoral statistical management. The session reinforced the role of official statistics in national development based on Indonesia's Vision 2045, alongside legal foundations such as Law No. 16/1997 on Statistics, ensuring quality and governance in data management. The institutional statistical framework was explained using the National Quality Assurance Framework, which encompasses statistical coordination, data integrity, transparency, and adequate resources to ensure data reliability.

Through this comprehensive sectoral statistics training, the aim is to drive improvements in the quality of sectoral data produced by the Sambas Regency Government.
